There's nothing...nothing more relaxing than to light up a few candles, turn your fairy lights on, get all snuggle in your favourite blanket, drink a nice warm cup of your favourite tea (mine is black tea with apple and cinnamon or just apple and cinnamon...I like to vary lol) and watch a movie/tv show of choice while doing absolute nothing.
This is why autumn nights are my favourites.

The school/work/life stress is getting more intense however, as leaves are starting to fall and the weather is getting more and more cold every minute, there's something about the earlier darkness of the night sky and sound of brief moments of rain hitting the window that just gives me a magical felling!
During this autumn nights, I like to grab any chance I have to cozy up and relax so when the next day comes, with all the work to do, things to study, books to read (school related) and scripts to decorate and rehearse/practice, I can do it with my head high and without over stressing.
If you are like me and you over stress very easily about little things that some times turn out to be not important...You NEED to take some time off, surround yourself with the things that makes you happy and calm, and just BREATH.
Undress all the worries that you carry around with you every moment and enjoy your time off.
For me, I like to, as I said before, light up a few candles, turn my fairy lights on, get all snuggle in my favourite blanket, drink a nice warm cup of my favourite tea, watch a movie/tv show/youtube videos (I'm in a vlogmas phase...as always) of choice while doing absolute nothing and... enjoying the company of the best little monsters/dragons also none as Miavila and Cookie Lyon...my adorable and crazy cats. It wouldn't be a real autumn relaxing night/time off otherwise.

My favourite type of films to watch in this moments have to be romantic comedies or romances that make your heart warm and sometimes (very often tbh), due to the fact that the ends are not the happiest, make your eyes look like a broken tap that just can't stop pouring water...i'm this kind of girl.
Some of my recent and more amazing movie choices for this moments are: Me Before You; Man Up and 5 to 7. I think I'm going to make a more complete list of movie favourites and how/when/why I like to watch them very soon, so if this is something you would like to read just wait, it is coming!
For tv shows, i'm currently re-watching How I Met Your Mother. I believe that sitcoms like this and Friends are the best for relaxing and having the perfect time off.

How could I give my best and work my hardest every single day if I didn't treat myself with a time to breathe and just relax?

Lots of love,
Rafaela

You don't need to know me a lot to realise that I just truly deeply love Essence Makeup...so what better way to celebrate my first paycheck (if you followed me on twitter you would know that I got my first job last month, not working there anymore... (material to another post)) and the fact that a new Wells (if SuperDrug had a tiny portuguese baby that would be it) really close to my house just opened a couple weeks ago than to go there on field investigation on what's new on the essence makeup world a.k.a. shopping trip?
When I got there I was so excited because it had all the new products (lips wise) that I've only seem to find online...it had the matt liquid lipsticks (I didn't buy one because I'm not a big fan of liquid lipsticks) and all the colours I've never seen from the long lasting lipsticks to the matt matt matt ones (yes, that's the name)...the colour range was b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l-!

It is no secret that my favourite makeup part of Essence, and every other brand since I'm obsessed with lip products, are the lipstick, I couldn't come back home without spending a little money (and I really mean a little, because this products are soooo cheap) on a couple new babies. I bought the Long Lasting Lipstick 28 Time for a Toffee Break? and the Matt Matt Matt Lipstick 08 It's a Statement (my 2 last photos), I'm so happy that I found the beautiful nude brown I've been dreaming for the last year without having to spend 25€ (or more) and the most amazing dark berry matt lipstick for Autumn, and no, it's is not the same colour as my Flormar Berry Smoothie.

As you can see by the photos above, I collected a few lipsticks, and 1 soft matt lipgloss which the colour I do not know the name and I believe it was discontinued, throughout the time. I love every single one, ones more that others of course (like the Long Lasting lipstick 6 Barely There (third swatch counting from up to down) and my most recently babies like the Long Lasting Lipstick 28 Time for a Toffee Break? (penultimate one)  and the Matt Matt Matt Lipstick 08 It's a Statement (the last one). This lipsticks are so incredibly smooth and comfortable, so pigmented and beautiful....I love them!

A few years back, more like 3 (in 2013) to be precised, I started a YouTube channel... I did this because since I first had access to the internet, and consequently to YouTube, I fell in love with that world!

To be honest, I don't remember my YouTube time before I discover Michelle Phan, then I was completely hooked by the makeup/beauty video world.
The years have pasted and I kept watching and watching others youtubers making videos which I loved, by this time I already had found my ultimate favorite youtuber (Zoella). I used to think about how much fun it must be, just to do what you love, talk about what you love and top it off with the audiovisual aspect of making videos (anyone who knows me knows that I'm an audiovisual child, I think it is a family thing but this is subject to another post)...it was such a cool and exciting world ohhh I can not begin to describe how much it affected me and helped me becoming who I am now.

At this point, around the summer of 2013, I decided to kick my anxiety and shyness in the butt and start to make my own videos...
I couldn't find my old thumbnails but here's a couple of sneak peaks of some of my old videos...

Vlog of when me and my mom went on a small trip to London (2013)

My Fall or Autumn/Winter lookbook 2013

However, it wasn't all so fun as I thought...A lot happened and in result, I gave up on doing YouTube videos and even putted them all in private (less my Vlog of Iberanime OPO 2013)...I now regret it and I know that given up on something you love doing because of others is not correct just because it's the easier way, therefore, today I'm here to announce that I'm back and I'm doing my YouTube videos again, in matter of fact, this afternoon I'm upload a new exciting video...so stay tuned, alright?

I think that the better way to finish of this post is using a little sprinkle of lameness so....don't give up on or dreams or doing what makes you happy! (just puked in my head with all this lameness)

Love,
Rafaela

As you may already realized, I truly enjoy exploring new makeup brands and products...so, to do something different with my life, or not lol, me and my good friend Cris went to do some errands, which included to go makeup hunting.

While on the savage hunt for the most cheap and good products, we found ourselves in the Clarel store going through the multiple makeup brands. After carefully analyse the Maybelline, Essence and Catrice makeup stands we crossed with an unknown makeup brand called Basic Cosmetics.

As expected my eyes went directly to the lipsticks where I found the matt ones and, as a typical reaction, I saw the prices and I could not believe.....it was just 2,85€ do you believe it?!
Well, unfortunately it had just 5 or 6 different colors on the range and only three had a tester that wasn't break...however, to be honest, I don't really care since I was immediately drawn to the two red (different kind of reds) ones. It truly was a close fight but I decided to step out of my comfort zone and bring home the bright orangy-red 06 (I understand that this isn't even a real word but bare with me).

For you to understand better this color I compared this lipsticks to most beautiful true red I own, this is the Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipsticks by Kate Moss 01.

Even though this color is way out of my comfort zone I have not a single regret of buying this product. It might not be the most creamy lipsticks to apply but they last so well, they are so incredibly comfortable on the lips (it feels like you have nothing on your lips) and the pigmentation for the price is from another world that I almost forget about that little down side of this product. Just thinking about the fact that it almost don't transfer or the fact that it is a complete matt without drying out your lips for under 3€, my mind is blown away!

I gotta said that I'm definitely going to buy the other red (even though I have enough red lipsticks lol) and check out the other mystery lipsticks on the range!

As you might already realized, given the fact that I'm writhing this blog, I am a makeup and beauty lover. That's why, as I am growing and making friendships for life, I find myself surrounded by people who understand me and sometimes, just sometimes, have the same amount of love for makeup as me.
Therefore, a couple days ago I went on a makeup hunt with one of my dearest friends (Cris) and I gotta say, makeup wise, she knows what she talks about. So, when she asked me if I wanted to go on a makeup hunt with her, which included a visit to a brand new makeup store that opened recently here on my city, I didn't need to think twice!

After visiting a couple stores like KIKO, H&M, FLOMAR and others (but tbh my day started earlier with a trip to mall and consequently to the PRIMARK) which resulted in some makeup and beauty purchases, we finally went to the new makeup store...the WYCON cosmetics (http://www.wyconcosmetics.com) store.
I didn't really know what to expect so when I entered and started seeing the products and their prices I gotta say, they did a great job. Among the really appealing products I found the soft mousse eyeshadows...well, my heart at that point was stolen...the range was amazingly filled with beautiful metallic colors. I decided to bringt home the 16 Dark Bronze...this product is so good...it's so pigmented, so easy and creamy to apply and to blend and, once it's dry it lasts FOREVER on fleck!

So, since the summer it's coming to a end (and I'm not even a little bit sad...I'm autmn kinda girl) it's time to bring your dark makeup out to the world and believe me when I say that a dark bronze eye it's an essential for the months to come however, in my opinion, it looks good all year around!

There is something, at this point, you don't know about me...I just truly deeply enjoy spending time with my family. Even a random trip to the mall with my grandma can sure be fun...who doesn't like some shopping time with the family?

So, that's exactly why, last week, me and my grandma decided to go to the mall just to see what the stores had new this time (and to do some typical grocery shopping as well). As we slowly look through the windows of the various stores, something caught my attention....a "up to 70%" sales sign on the flormar store. As might be expected I could not stop myself from get in the store to see what they had to give. Many products seemed great but my eyes were almost immediately straight to the lipsticks...and when I saw the matte ones I just lost it (not literally of course). The color range was beautiful but I am a dark colors or nudes kinda girl.

Therefore, when I saw the Berry Smothie 203 and  how beautiful the color is, how pigmented it is and how smooth and creamy to apply it is I just fell over heels and took my new baby home! Oh and it was in sales, just for 3€!!! (Thank you flormar) As you can see by the pictures and the name, it is such a gorgeous dark berry tone, perfect to rock on the autumn and winter time....or if you are like me, all year around!

A few days passed and as I was waiting for the time to go into the movie theater (to watch Suicide Squad) I could not resist going to the flormar store right next to the movie theater and take another of this amazing matte long-lasting (not overly long-lasting but for the price they are incredible) and SO affordable lipsticks home with me. This time I've chosen the Red Terracotta 208, it is a stunning burned orange perfect for any occasion and time year....but I'm certainly will wear the crap out of this one on the autumnal months!
